Who runs UniLore
UniLore is run by the UniLore team, which is not yet a registered company, and is reachable at me@unilore.in.
Who can use it
- You must be an enrolled student at a campus UniLore serves.
- You must verify that, either through your institutional email or a student ID.
- If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's consent.
- One account per person. Accounts are not transferable.
If you stop being a student, you may keep reading what you already have access to, but campus verification may be re-checked.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account. Do not share your sign-in. Tell us at me@unilore.in if you think someone else has access to it.
What is not allowed
Some of this is enforced automatically and some by campus moderators. All of it applies whether or not a filter catches it.
Refused outright, with no context that makes it acceptable:
- Caste slurs.
- Communal and religious slurs.
- Sexual abuse or sexual threats directed at a person.
- Sharing intimate images of anyone without their consent. This is taken seriously and acted on within 24 hours of a report.
- Any sexual content involving a minor. This results in immediate suspension and a report to the authorities.
Also not allowed:
- Threatening, harassing, stalking or impersonating anyone.
- Doxxing — posting someone's personal details without their consent.
- Spam, scams, or using UniLore to advertise.
- Automated scraping, or trying to break, overload or circumvent the platform.
- Posting other people's copyrighted work as your own.
Swearing is not against the rules. A campus product that suspends students for saying bakchodi is a product nobody posts to. What is against the rules is aiming something at a person, and the line is drawn there deliberately.
Moderation
Campus moderators are students. They can remove content, hold it for review, and suspend accounts. Content that is held is not deleted — it is not published while a person looks at it, and you are told that is what happened.

Direct messages
Messages are end-to-end encrypted. We cannot read them, which has two consequences you should understand before you rely on either:
- Nobody is reading your conversations. Not us, not a moderator, not an automated filter.
- We cannot recover them, and we cannot moderate them. If you lose your device or reinstall the app, past messages may become unreadable — there is no copy we can decrypt for you. And if someone sends you something abusive, we will not know unless you report it.
Reporting a conversation shares the recent messages you choose with campus moderators, with proof of who wrote each one. That is the only way message content reaches us.
What you post
You keep ownership of what you write and upload. You give us permission to store and display it inside UniLore so the product can work — nothing more. We do not license your content to anyone else, we do not train models on it, and we do not use it in advertising.
Contributions to the campus archive are intended to outlast you being a student. When you contribute, you choose how it is attributed, and that choice is honoured.
Reporting something
Every post, conversation and profile can be reported from inside the app. For anything urgent — non-consensual intimate imagery, a threat, or content involving a minor — email me@unilore.in directly.
Suspension
We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms. For the most serious categories, suspension happens immediately and before a human review, because the cost of waiting is not symmetrical. If that turns out to be wrong, the account is restored and you get an apology.
You can delete your account at any time.
What we do not promise
UniLore is provided as it is. It is a young product run by a small team and it will sometimes be broken or unavailable. We do not guarantee that content is accurate, that the archive is complete, or that a filter will catch everything. Nothing here is professional, legal, medical or placement advice.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of UniLore.

Complaints are acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 15 days.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Patiala, Punjab have jurisdiction.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that affects you, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
